Last year after my Eri and the Fairies book came out I was chatting with my Mother-in-Law, and she asked me if I could create a book for her and so Eri and the Fairies: Somewhere Lost in Sicily was born. I had always intended to visit other countries with the Fairies, but this encouraged me to start with Italy. My husband's family, as they will tell you, are pure Sicilian.
My thoughts are to introduce children to different countries and the foods found there. All the recipes in the book are authentic, however, I have simplified them for working with your little fairy helpers. I plan to put the original recipes on my website in the member area. There will not be any cost associated with being a member, but you will need to login.
I have begun to modify the website and will be putting it out there in the next few days. If you find any glitches, please let me know.
Some of you who follow my author page know the difficulties that I have had with illustrators, well I have finally found the perfect one, she almost reads my mind, communicates really well, and as you can see from the cover, does beautiful work. Mary happens to be Italian and lives in Spain, I do hope that I will be able to meet her in person someday.
I will not give you all the details of getting the book ready for publication, but I am hoping to have it ready for International Fairy Day, June 24th, which also happens to be my Mom's birthday and since I have to always give her credit for my writing, she did after all give me a literary name and encouraged me down the path, I am going to put some effort into making that happen.
Stop by and follow my author page on Facebook at Leni Puccio, Author if you have not already. There is always something interesting going on. Stay well until next time.
